Default Oregon Central coast q's - busy?

We are big fans of the Oregon Central Coast; Florence, Waldport areas especially Carl Washburn SP

Anybody up around or been through that area, wondering if it is abnormally crowded or if camping options are available at a "usual" pace.

Living in Phoenix we tend to wanna get away and I've got a work window opening which would allow a trip up that way in a couple of weeks.

The air is cool and Florence has great Mexican food- and the Casino has been welcoming here and there when the campsites are full

Thanks, Mike

We travelled from Portland to Ca Redwoods over one month ago, Redwoods were empty. Today could be a different world. I never had a problem fining a campsite in the Tillicum Beach, direct ocean view sites are often designated for first comers. Have a great trip.

Good food in Bandon - http://m.edgewaters.net/

After 50k miles of travel within the past 4 years of camping cross country in our Sprinter; the Oregon coastal SP near the Sea Lion Caves (sorry, forget its name) was the only place that items were stolen from our campsite while we were out sight seeing. The chairs and water hose and filter that we left behind to keep our spot, were gone when we returned. Very glad that I took our shoreline with us when we left.

The resident camper said that they have had problems with items disappearing.

Maybe this problem has been solved by now, since this occurred 3 years ago in April.

In 50 years of RVing, this is the first time any of my items "disappeared".

Just be vigilant.

we have returned from a wonderful 4 week trip

Sad to report that favorite Oregon campground Carl Washburne SP have gone to a reservation model- with despised service reserve america.

it's a real shame, that has been until this year 1st come

the reservation model means that everything is "sold out"

There are plenty of no-shows which are posted about 11 am

we spent 5 days ( in 4 campsites) taking advantage of no show reservations.
$33 night 30/50 water, some have dump.

no cost dump station at the beach day use parking lot

This continues to be a favorite campground and beach and we'll be back and play the no show lottery.

nearby Tillicum Beach CG ( Federal) showed plenty of availability on the recreation.gov app, but that too is now on a reservation system- we were turned away (with others) at ranger station

Oregon coast was very crowded 3rd week July, plenty of people camping in pull overs along the 101 and the casino is florence was very busy ( join the players club, get 1 night- additional nights earned thru player points)

we stumbled onto a couple of great new spots in WA- & one in MT
