Onan 28k remote start

Hi, all.
I have an old factory original Onan Microlte 2800 in my 1989 Dodge Fiesta XRT. It runs like new, but it did not come with the optional remote start, so I have to start and stop it from the switch mounted on the generator. Pain in the butt. I want to add a remote start switch but I can’t for the life of me find where the cable would plug into on the generator. Any help finding the location of the connector would be greatly appreciated. I believe it’s a four wire deal. Thanks!

Looking at the parts manual and the service manual it comes from the main control board.

Those manuals are available on line but I don’t have a link.

You may have to remove the generator to get a look at the main control board.

Not sure where you are in MD but if you’re anywhere convenient to Mt Airy I can help you out with it. Have a lift available for easier access to the generator.
