I am still loving my 1989 that I bought in 2010. Seems like 2/3 of the time when I take it out somewhere, someone makes a comment on it. Hooked up the cargo rack to take camping this weekend. The cooler I think is from the 80's era.

re: what to stand on. You can get water heater drip pans in various diameters. Some are made in plastic. Not very high but always have a side drain port that you could configure to a length of garden hose to direct the water to some other area of the camp.
