Here in my neck of the woods, I've been told people are actually buying at MSRP because most places have "B"s backordered. With this in mind, it makes the Sportsmobile route even more appealing.

Where the heck are you?

Whoever told you that is either a dealer trying to snow you... or a clueless purchaser who got taken.

I don't know of any Class B's selling for MSRP... people are buying them all over the country for the usual discounts I mentioned previously.

Show prices for Pleasure Way class Bs are about %15 off.

I suspect for a genuine B (eg not the XL series) you could email an offer to bid to a dozen dealers and get more than %15.

Problem is most people go to the lot and then try to negotiate there. When a dealer knows they are competing against other dealers you should get a much better deal— assuming they have a van on the lot. And there are 198 Pleasure Way 2017 class Bs for sale at the moment.... many dealers have more than one on the lot and more on order. (So if they are out they may sell you one from their order slot getting it to you a lot earlier than if you special ordered— and if the build hasn’t started you should be able to get it changed to exactly what you want.)

A van the dealer never has to sell is going to be a great opportunity for the dealer- they will just place another order.

If you’re two states away they know they never would have gotten your business if they didn’t compete.
