Default no window , window view for stealth vans

I had an idea come to me for people who want an outside window view for vans like panel stealth vans a person could install a small peep hole camera (drilling a small hole and sealing it up around the hole .
This would be something small and not as noticeable and would still be safer then having windows to break into .
The way it would work would be through a flip switch lcd thin monitor ( it will use a little power from the battery when in use . )
a lcd tv or monitor could be placed into the inside wall frame and make it look like a window when on .
Anyway just an idea .
their may be something like this already made and done on youtube or somewhere I don't know .

Interesting idea, especially if the peephole doesn't have the telltale brass/silver ring around it. One can always buy some cameras and mount them around the rig, then use a DVR or similar to watch them (the cameras have IR LEDs, so they will show details even if it is pitch dark.)

If the screens could do a 3D image without requiring glasses, that might just be a winner.

Taking the camera/video monitor one step farther, maybe you could mount a small camera on your Winegard antenna, and use it like a periscope. 360 degree field of view for surveillance of the surrounding area without opening curtains or sun shades.

My wife and i've decided that if we have a say in the design on _Van 2_ the only windows in the rig will be those legally required to drive down the road...windows, in our opinion, are highly over rated.

We believe that some form of camera on all sides, or the rotating camera idea is how we would like to get our view of the outside if not seated up in the forward cab dinette/lounge area (swiveling seats will be a must this time around. only the passenger seat in our current rig swivels.)

In daily use while out on our adventures, we find the downside of heat/cold of the windows is worth pondering alternatives to airflow and view. That and we would really like a stealth design...nothing on the outside screaming we're camping and retired folk

Happy Trails,
Thom
