It lives about 35 miles up the road, hope to see it in person someday.

There are vans all over Thailand like that. I think they are great. I guess you'd scale down and use all the gas $$ saved to rent a motel room now and then?

In our B we do that anyway. Just because you take your bed with you, doesn't
exclude you from a little self-indulgence at a nice motel/hotel once in a while.
The Delica looks like it would be rugged and fun, with the crash bars and all!!!
