Default Nexen Tires on Ram, time bomb

Hi,

I have a 1982 VW camper and just upgraded to Thor Dazzle/Twist 2LB same as as Sequence 20L less the bells and whistles.
As I camped in my VW I talked to lots of Dazzle/Twist/Sequence campers. They all told me of their problems with the Nexen Tires. All the same story from as low as 600 miles to up to 14k, the Front Nexen tire tread comes apart. Driving the front started to shake. Most did not know what the problem was and had to go to a shop to find out. The problem is on 3500 vans and trucks, as the Nexen is the OEM tire for Ram.

My Van came with a Nexen Roadian CT8 HL LT225/75R16, They are very quiet and smooth. My test drive was very nice. So I understand why it was put on the Van. I had the dealer upgrade to a better tire, before I took the Van, as:

The Nexen Roadian CT8 HL LT225/75R16 have load rating of 2,680 lb. (4 x 2680 = 10,720)
Ram 3500 specs are: GVWR 9,350 lbs GCWR 11,500 lbs
1) The tires do not meet the 11,500 lbs, Max Gross vehicle weight rating. I will not but running the van at GCW, but:
2) On Ram 3500 Vans the Engine, Tans and passengers are in the front, the weight is not 50% - 50%, so the the 10,720 rating is not on all 4 tires.
3) When braking the the vehicle weight will transfer to the front tires. So the the 10,720 rating is not on all 4 tires. (Front brakes provide 70% of stopping power. downhill driving high fail rate)
4) The quality of the Nexen tires is the other problem. Nexen can not handle the heat of highways and hot days with the front tire load. So I do not think they are 2,680 tires after 10K-20K miles.
5) The van should have 225/75R16C tires, the C is a Load 121 = 3,195 pounds (4 x 3,195 = 12,780, more than the GCWR 11,500 lbs) (or other tires with 3,195 rating like some R17)
I will not but running the van at GCW, but there should be a safety margin as tires age with use.
6) Many have had the front tire thread separate on the Nexen tires. (Between 600 to 25,000 miles) See Better Business Bureau
Complaints include:
Nexen tires tread comes apart and the tire fails. (rare but Nexen tire blowouts)
Nexen tire failure after less than 30,000 miles
Bubbles forming on Nexen tires

No one like them after some miles on them: (I could make this list longer)

Thor has an upgrade to the Nexen Tires: BFGoodrich KO2 225/75R15. I had the dealer upgrade my van to BFGoodrich KO2 225/75R15, very happy.

The BFGoodrich KO2 225/75R15 are very good tires, no failure issues.

The BFGoodrich KO2 225/75R15 has more traction, so much better for dirt, sand, and snow.
