Default New MB 4wd Passenger Van Conversion

One of my options is getting a new MB passenger van to start with. Under C$70k.
Comes all fitted out with complete inside liner, rear a/c and heat etc.

If I go this route I wouldn't do any plumbing. Just use a cassette toilet, some cabinets, small fridge and a bed. Add more stuff along the ways wanted/needed.

Any reasons to not think about this option?

Converters generally start out with cargo vans. I think they cost less and then you have a "clean sheet" for running electrical, water and plumbing lines as well as the ability to insulate the van. In other words do all the hidden work and then finish off.

Thanks David. My point is that I would have a usable travel van for a year or two and then, with knowledge learned, decide on where to go from there.
