Default New Hymer

New Hymer from Europe. Note road clearance, no skirts and nothing is hanging. Bathroom in the back. Will Hymer bring it to NA?, time will tell. https://newatlas.com/hymer-duocar-s-...60499/#gallery

Dry bath in a B? Must be a tight living space.

EDIT: looks like that photo is a concept, they made it a wet bath with hanging storage on the shower side. This looks a lot like the Carado Axion.

There is no more Hymer in the U.S. as far as I know so I doubt we'll ever see it in the States.

Thor Industries purchased Hymer, so they could bring it here. https://www.thorindustries.com/brands

I don't know. You are probably right, but remember, Hymer USA was not included in the deal.

Hymer USA is not, and never was, Thor, so them being gone is a non issue, and when Roadtrek sold the Hymer names and products in the US were not included so Westphalia has no say.

Thor should be able to bring any Hymer product to the US without issue, I think.

I didn't say Hymer USA was Thor at any point. I said that Thor did not buy Hymer USA- if they didn't buy EHGNA, then obviously they do not own them. Everyone always wants to nitpick.

Speaking of nitpicking, I didn't say said you said they were part of Thor. I said that the fact they they are not part of Thor and never were is why EHNA is irrelevant to if Thor can bring Hymer Europe products here now that Thor owns Hymer name and products and EHNA doesn't exist anymore. Any North America agreements with Hymer about products between EHNA and Hymer now don't exist so there is no reason Thor can't bring in whatever they want.

Most recent interviews of the Thor guy reigniting Roadtrek were clear that the new models would be for the American market, not imported European ones.

Was that a "Thor" guy, or was it the "Rapido" guy that now speaks on behalf of Roadrek being interviewed!

All very confusing!

Brian
I don’t recall exactly. The link to the published interview is in the hyper thread. Last couple weeks IIRC.

Hi Mike,

http://rvldealernews.com/exclusive-r...dian-rv-brand/
I just wondered if this article I had seen the other day was what you were referring to. This fellow represents Radido the company that recently acquired the assets of Roadtrek and hoped to restart production later this year.

Initially, he says, based on Roadtreks existing designs, but later incorporating their own improvements.

Rapido. a large French RV manufacturer owns a number of brands marketed in Europe - including Westfalia.

"...the production DuoCar S relies on a folding sofa-bed to sleep two people; a pop-up roof with extra bed is optional"

Much like the short-lived Axion Studio. I always liked the idea of the high roof with loft bed because it would allow full-height usable space for one while the other slept in. perfect for such a small footprint. You can leave the loft down and open the couch when it's really cold or rainy out.

Unlike the Pleasureway Tofino which doesn't have a toilet and only has standing height where the cutout for the loft is.
