Default New 136 Pocket Solis vs. 136 Custom Build

I spent quite a bit of time at a LaMesa dealership looking over the 59x Solis yesterday, but we're really interested in the new 136 Pocket due out in Aug/Sept.

The van looks good, but has a couple of issues I was hoping some of you could help me with.

1. The cost of the Pocket looks to be $80k all in. Very few options, pretty straight forward. So, I understand what I'm getting, but do have some issues with the inability to run the AC unless hooked up to a 30amp service. With that said, how would this compare to finding a custom builder to build essentially the same van. Costs, quality, etc.

2. I'm looking at the 2500 for the 136 Promaster because of things I've heard about power in the mountains and I plan on towing a 19 foot bayboat. So, if I bought a new van to build I'd be buying a 2500 and the Pocket only comes in the 1500 model. The salespeople say that the tow capacity is the same for the 1500 and the 2500. Does anyone on here have any real world experience with this?

Thanks in advance, my Silverado is for sale and I'm looking forward to hitting the road later this year.
