Default Need new tires.

I have a 1998 Dodge B-3500 Coach house. Great van,83000 miles. Curantly rolling on General Grabber at-2's. Great tire, just 7 years old( 20000 miles and 60%tread left) Worked great, just a little loud, but great for the backroads. I am,however , looking to a highway tire. DO HOT like the ride of michelins. ! At the moment, looking at the newer "Nokian ONE HT" size LT245 75 16. Anybody seen these tires,or have them? I DO NOT drive in winter, just the mountains and prairies of alberta, sask,Montana. Any thoughts on the tires? Lets all have a GREAT 2020 season!

You need the "E" service load rating. The load range is identified by a letter of the alphabet, usually from A to F, which represents the ply rating and load pressure. A rating of "E" on the tire means the tire has a ply rating 10 and a load pressure of 80 psi. You would want "Nokian LT245/75R16 E NOKIAN ONE HT". Nokian makes a fantastic tire, but very hard to find. They are very well known for their snow/ice tire!!!

I have a 1998 Pleasureway also on the Dodge B3500 chassis that I outfitted to drive to the Arctic Ocean on the Dempster Highway. I used Michelin XPS Traction tires; smooth, quiet long distance cruising, indestructible on the Dempster. Off road tread, steel belt and casing for a low flex ride, E rated, at 235/85 16 they add 1/2" to clearance. Outstanding in every way.

Was just at Discount tire for flat repair and looked up load E rated tires for my ProMaster MH. 225/75/16R 121R C8 BSW Pathfinder made by Hankook for $122 each. My tires are 4+ years old and will replace when 6-7 years old for safety, regardless of tread depth.
