Default male quick connect propane

2021 RT Adventurous. We have a female quick connect for external bar-b-que but no hose or fitting. RT no longer sells it and the standard male 1/4 will not fit. According to RT, the male fitting is made by Cast Products and has a part number of 829000 to fit the 829001 female quick connect. Can't find the part or Cast anywhere. Any leads?

Just do a search for propane quick connect, buy both parts and use them. Some have a valve and some don’t. You probably want the valve. Ace hardware has it in the barbecue section.

It was about 15yrs ago that I was told that an MB Sturgis Model 250 male end would work with Cast's 829001. The reason given was that Cast's 829001 was a copy of the MB Sturgis product. Whether that was correct or if the fittings differed later on I don't know.

Examples:

or

https://mbsturgis.com/products/rv-qu...lp-grill-hose/

from the site:

Compatible to MB Sturgis Model 250, Cast Industries, Gas Mate, & Gas Flow Quick Disconnects.

1/4” NPT quick connect is pretty much the RV standard these days. I’d change out the female on the van side to a stock 1/4” part. That will open up your hose options and give you a lot more flexibility.
