lubrication of awning

Hi:

I have Carefree roof mounted awning. It is electric(12 volt). It is about 6-7 yrs old with the side mounts on the side of van. Works fine. I have the Carefree maintenance manual. It says nothing about lubrication? After all of the years, it would seem normal to lubricate the moving parts?

Anyone know what areas require lubrication and the type of lube?

I apologize if you have already seen this, but here is what Carefree recommends -

Periodically wash out the channels with running water (i.e. a hose) to keep them clean. If the channels still do not slide easily, lightly spray the joints and/or inside of the channels with a dry silicone lubricant after the arms have been cleaned and dried thoroughly.

Thanks, had not seen the portion of rinsing channels with water. I will definitely be using a dry lube. Probably wipe down the channels with a mild cleaner. Mine do not look that bad.
