How pretty is this?

Although this one is a short wheelbase, look at the windows! And the painted front bumper and trim bits.

Re: Lot's of possible floor plans with Promaster
Those Europeans have a lot of neat design ideas - check this one out. Very slick and modern looking.

Note the drawer style fridge. The skylight is amazing with the high roof. I suppose that fairing hides all the clutter up top.
On another model they make, the bath has a flip-down sink in the shower, which I think is a cool idea.
This one can be configured without the dinette in front, but have a side facing sofa, which I think would be better.

Hmm. No bed except the sofas (sorry, "settees")?

If you need more ideas, here's almost all of them!

Re: Lot's of possible floor plans with Promaster
I was surprised that the front lounge on so many was just like the Travato. Also looking thru them, many of the parts you see are originated thru the same suppliers to use in the Travato. I do like the one that had the flip up full width bed in the back. At least that van can be used for hauling duties if you aren't camping.
My next van will likely be a custom. So many ideas in each of them - little things that I think can be applied to a custom built unit.
My favorite? None of them in the last video! I like the Shire Pheonix 2XL I posted in the original posting.
The more I think about it - I like the front lounge. I especially like nothing blocking the wide sliding doorway. I like the mid galley. And I like the full width bath with sink on one side, commode on other, and shower in center.
If this arrangement was applied to a Sprinter, or god forbid, a Transit, you'd have another 3 feet to either lengthen the galley or add a storage area behind the bath. I'm not sure at this point I'd want a longer van. I like the 20' length of the Promaster as it is, and I'm more enamored with the FWD than I was originally.

I thought Westfalia was VW only, but I suppose not.

Re: Lot's of possible floor plans with Promaster
Westfalia made its name marketing the Volkswagen microbus but they have been in the conversion business with different models. Here is the Sprinter James Cook which was briefly sold as an Airstream Westfalia back in 2005.
Westfalia is a first class converter with a lot of innovative designs. Theirs might be the best Fiat design yet that I like.

That is cool with the automotive sunroof. You'd think more would do that, but it's probably expensive.
Comparing these two videos, I think I can see why the Ducato units are so popular - that extra width makes a big difference.
