Default ISO: Recommendations for family Class B

Our family of 3 has been camping out of a Four Wheel Pop up Truck camper for the last 5+ years. We need a slight upgrade and looking for a van.
Soon to be a family of four with two dogs. Something like the Winnebago Solis with the extra pop-up is perfect. We want two beds, the additional roof bed makes great use of space. But we also need room for gear. But we don't want a shower/toilet. Takes up too much space for our needs. Would rather use that space for Climbing/Biking/Ski/Kayak gear.

Looking for 2 beds (one for the adults and one for the kids). Room to move the bed out of way and put bikes inside. No need for a wet room.
4x4 would be an added bonus. Think Revel but no shower and a pop-up sleep area up top.

Check out the Safari Condo Go-Van Promaster XL Plus (with optional pop top). No wet bath. Four belted seats. Height adjustable queen bed above the huge garage with room for four bikes. Long wait list and you have to provide van to their Canadian factory,. Extremely well built and relatively affordable. Here’s the video of the Sprinter version without the pop top.

Or just get a Solis and put your gear in the wet bath.

This. You can get a lot of gear into a bathroom, except for maybe bicycles.

For the OP; I'd also consider a not-too-big Class C if it works for their lifestyle.

Winnebago does offer the Solis PX floorplan with an extra 18" gear garage behind the bed. It can hold two bikes stowed vertically.

VandoIt offers a Transit based Liv model with hydraulic rear lift bed and slide-out gear tray. However no pop-top for a separate kids (or adults) sleeping section.

Mercedes certified Master Upfitters in North America are not allowed to install pop-tops on high-top Sprinters. However some non-certified shops, such as Colorado Campervan, do specialize in pop-tops and will install them on the tall Sprinter.

Friendly reminder, if your kids are still small enough to require car seats or booster seats, then it becomes especially important to remember that traveling with four people in a van requires four proper seat-belted seats

We have the Winnebago Solis with a pop top. We love everything about it. You could use the bathroom as storage. You may want to think about re-sale with a bathroom.

Nice, congrats

I suggest spending some time "practicing" with all the systems in the driveway where you have tools and internet if any issues come up.

for cold weather camping we use a small vornado 350/700 watt space heater when on shore power- a gentle waft of warm air rather than the roar of our old suburban propane furnace

Cheers, Mike
