Hi! Could you please also send the islander manual to me! I just got a 1995 dodge islander and it didn’t not come with one. I’m currently trying to figure out how to add solar to the existing system. Thanks so much!

Not absolutely positive, but my understanding is Islander RV Industries started in Bishop Falls, NL (near Grand Falls-Windsor, NL - about 4 hours away from St John's). As others have mentioned, there was also the Islander RV Industries in Langley, BC. Both shops have long since been closed. I think the old Islander RV Industries shop in Bishop Falls is now "Newfoundland STYRO Inc".
I have attached a couple of pictures of my Islander RV boondocking here in Newfoundland this year.
For those interested in a 1997 promo video from Islander RV Industries in Bishop Falls, NL, you can check it out on YouTube:

Hi and Welcome
Most of the appliances in our vans are made by Dometic, Suburban or Atwood.
Manuals for many of these components are available online.
As are the manuals for the Onan generators
if equipped, the transfer switch and ac/dc converter are likely off the shelf commonly used units
and the chassis likely dodge, ford, chevy where help for those can be found on forums dedicated to those brands
Cheers

Seeking 1995 Islander Manual
I just purchased a 1995 Islander. I have the van manual, but not the camper manual. If your post is still applicable, would you please email me a copy of your manual?
To: ronitalynn@yahoo.com
Thank you!

Just signed up looking up parts/info for the Islander , I have a 1994 that was bought on Vancouver Island driven across the country spent most of it's time there and then my parents bought it from the original owner and drove it across the country a few times and then I bought it from them. It has 117,xxxkm
Oh, my fridge stopped working in this heat wave we are having and we are planning on going out this weekend. I hope I am not looking at replacing the thing.

Long ago, we were interested in one when we were buying our first RV. I liked the layout. Then we found out from others that it was often much too hot to sleep over the cab. So we bought something else for our Summers based "See Canada with your kid" project.

We left here Friday for a short Trip to take the Dogs to Lake and let them chase the local wildlife in the park (Flies, Squirrels and Mice)
The fridge worked fine once we got to the park and in the shady lot. I am so happy I don't have to deal with that right now.

Ours has three vents one little one in the toilet another powered one over the dinette and a large escape hatch up top. I had a quite pleasant nap this afternoon and most Saturday afternoons out camping, today it was over 31°c or 88°f. We are in Northern BC and I sleep alone up top and my wife sleeps down on the dinette so I just sprawl out as needed to cool off and she has the dogs to regulate her temp.
