I could be mistaken, but I thought I looked underneath the Hymer at the show and there was an external LP tank under there.

Re: HymerCar Grand Canyon at Tampa RV Show
I'm really confused on the LP bottle issue.
On some pics, I see it under the kitchen. In others, there is a locker under the driver's side bed.

The unit at the Tampa show has a bed across the rear. Underneath the bed on the drivers side is a long narrow drawer for storing a TV (?) and the 26 gallon fresh water tank. And the wheel well. Some of the pictures on the internet are European versions, not the units built in Michigan.
BTW, If I didn't already own a Promaster that I am converting myself, the HymerCar would be my first choice of the manufacturers I've seen so far. Robert Morehead Design in Ashville, NC would be my first choice for a custom conversion.

Re: HymerCar Grand Canyon at Tampa RV Show
The US model Hymercar has a propane tank mounted under the chassis like we see with the other North American brands.

No, I didn't ask. If I'm in contact again I'll find out.

Re: HymerCar Grand Canyon at Tampa RV Show
Robert Moorehead's design lab looks like a great place to get a specialty van conversion done. Nothing standard, you pick what goes in...

Re: HymerCar Grand Canyon at Tampa RV Show
The interior design of the Hymer makes the Roadtrek Zion look like a woodshop project. I am really excited for this company to be in N. America. Now if we can just get a 4x4 sprinter Hymer.

Re: HymerCar Grand Canyon at Tampa RV Show
I don't see any Sprinters in Hymer's European offerings. CS Reisemobile in Germany does build off the Sprinter platform and they do 4x4's. You might see the first Sprinter 4x4 Class B van from M-B from Advanced RV. Some are already in the queue to be built.

They do indeed do 4x4 sprinters in Europe. http://www.hymer.com/en/ml-t-allrad

That looks like a cutaway chassis or Class C in our designations. I'm talking about Class B vans. The DUO I mentioned is a van.

Cutaway or not, it still looks good to me. Just what I need to tackle the snow and sand. 21 ft long 7.2 ft wide 9.5 ft high so its not huge, but I too would prefer a HymerCar sprinter.
