Default Hymer/RoadTrek Update

Hi,

today, I saw this information:

https://www.therecord.com/news-story/9182155-erwin-hymer-employees-protest-the-loss-of-their-jobs/

unfortunately, this type of action comes from high emotions and not stepping back and seeing reality. I can understand they are still in shock and showing support for each other. They did not cause this, but they are paying a high price with the loss of employment.

Their former company is on the verge of going under and has ceased operations. This cessation of operations, due to unforeseen circumstances, would indicate the government would NOT mandate severance be paid out to the employees.

There is a Government web tool, that asks a series of questions which would provide a guideline as to whether or not severance is required. Where would the money even come from? The operations ceased b/c there's no money and only the secured loan from Corner Flag kept the company afloat for the last week.

Sad situation to see and wish the former employees the best for their futures.

Welcome to the forum Steve!

There are a lot of forum threads on the recent situation at Roadtrek. You may want to repost on this existing thread , rather than initiate yet another.

Hi Rowie Bowie,

no repost ... It'll end up buried in the other ones. Now, they can see the link without having to sort through pages and pages.

Cheers, Steve

There are now what... 5 threads on the same topic... we didn't need another. This is not exactly huge news in this news report... could have just been added to any of the other threads.
