How to panel around front windows?
Having a bit of a creative block moment here...Finally got my '87 Fiesta fully gutted inside (what a royal PITA!), and not entirely sure what to do with the front windows in the roof...they're Plexi windows set in with pinch rubber seals, and looks like maybe just had something similar to a headliner surrounding them from the factory..much of which was ripped out long ago by a PO.
I feel like putting down new fabric around them is going to look goofy with everything else being wood paneled. Gluing some wood up there to have something to attach paneling to will make it have a bit of a porthole look, which I also think will look goofy and make any future maintenance in that area a royal pain.
I'm kind of tempted to just run a good bead of proflex around the windows to ensure a good seal, put foam board insulation right over them and panel the whole section.
But then I should probably just pop the windows out, and fiberglass the whole thing closed...I just don't know if my 'glassing skills are good enough to not have it look like a wavy mess from the outside later..
So I could use some opinions here..
