Default How do I find more of these exterior door clips?

I have several of these exterior storage door clips on my 2000 explorer. Most of them are broken and I'd like to replace them, but I can't find anything similar. Does anyone know what I should search for?

You should check at any RV parts supplier. I think these clips would do the job. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=rv+compar...l_2889shvh79_e

I have same problem with my 2000. I found one in a repair shop years ago, but that was the only one and when ordering more found they are no longer made. Xplorer was sold to a dealer in Elkhart. Maybe they may have some sitting around. If not, it is best to replace them with one that is more common type.

On mine that little door is actually installed with the hinge at the bottom so it doesn't need anything to hold the door open. For that little door I think I would unscrew it from the body and flip it around. Remove the plastic Hardware and just put the screws back to fill the holes.

They reversed the hinges on the 2000.

I had the same problem with our 2000 and was unable to find a replacement. We no longer have it but I found that sliding a piece of paper or two between the two mating parts was usually enough to hold a door open.

I would just replace with a magnet and small metal plate.
