Default How Clean and Treat Maple Woodwork?

The maple cabinets in my 2006 Roadtrek 210P are a bit dirty. What is the safest way to clean them? Should I then treat them after they are clean?

I'd clean them with Murphy's Oil Soap then give them a cost of paste wax.

If they are like our 07 190 maple cabinets, the real wood parts appear to be finished with what is probably a water based urethane so that could be just wiped down with a damp cloth of with some mild soap and light amounts of water.

The frame "plywood" is really a vinyl product so can also be cleaned with soap and water. By the time they get to the age or yours and ours, the real wood will look a lot darker than the vinyl, so pretty easy to tell which is which.

I'm getting ready to detail my RT inside and out. I just use a damp cloth on my woodwork, occasionally with a bit of soap as booster stated.

Since we bought our 2007 new and it has spent most of its life stored in an hvac controlled garage at our house, surprisingly the real maple and non-wood areas are still almost identical in color.

That high grade carpet RT installed is still like new and I clean any spots with a good carpet cleaner.

Don’t use any cleaner with ammonia in it. The more you can get clean with plain water (try an eCloth), the better.

I treat it just like my furniture in the house - lemon oil and bees wax. Still looks new and it especially protects the cabinet door under the sink.
