Default House battery location 95 D190P

Am I crazy or does this thing have no house battery and no wiring for one.

Nothing under the bed. Inverter and genny power outs have no large gauge wiring attached. There is no trap door or under carpet area underneath the kitchen cabinet which is where the manual says the house battery is (on the Versatile this would be under the drivers side passenger seat).

Was it actually an option to NOT have a house battery? Who would do such a thing.

I crawled underneath the rear and yep, nada.

Check the AC electrical panel for a breaker labeled converter. That should confirm that the rig came with a converter installed.

RV's from that era might only have 8 gauge wiring from the converter to the batteries. With the rubber insulator covering, 8 ga might only be 1/4" diameter.

If the van has an isolator under the hood then you might be able to trace that wiring to find the house battery.

Looks like someone STAPLED down the carpet over teh battery box under the kitchen galley pantry. Took a magnet to it and found all the staples. That was a brilliant move.....
