Default House batteries

I am presently using 2 lead acid batteries in my class b. 100 ah each. I have been thinking about changing them to Eaton Agm batteries 140 ah each but when I was reading up on them they said I would need a special charger, is that true.

Read up on inverter/charger installed in your Class B. My 2004 Chevy Roatrek has a Tripplite that has a set of dip switches one of which is for selecting Type of battery.

The AGM and wet cells charge very similarly, so if you have the Tripplite it will work as well for them as for the wet cells.

I don't recall if the Tripplites that old have the AGM setting, but if not just use the wet cell setting.

You should be able to download a manual from Tripplite online for your inverter/charger.

If you don't have a Tripplite, which I think may be possible in 2004 we would need to know what it does have in it.

I’m using a progressive dynamics inc. model # PD 9245C for charging the two house batteries.
