Default Help to identify parts/functionality.

Hi,
I am trying to understand the RV water system. I figured out most of it, except for the below 2 valves.

Any idea what they are and how they work?
I am guessing, the (1) in the picture is drain valve (but, do I just do one right-angled turn or keep turning anit-clockwise to open? not sure), and the (2) right after pump? Please help.

Thank you!

My guess: They both look like drains. #1 - to drain tank & #2 - to drain freshwater plumbing lines. The proof would be on the underside of the van. You should see them.

#1 looks like a straight stop and #2 looks likes a three way stop. I don't know how yours operate though. I'd try a 1/4 turn first. As I first said - just a guess.

Thanks. Yes, they seem to be drains. Any idea how to open/close them? I turned them but doesnt seem to happen anything. The fresh water tank is full. May be, I need to pull them up to open the valve?
