Default Help: Side cargo door

Just got 2008 Roadtrek and the side cargo door does not open from the inside. child safety lock on door side doesn't change either way. No manual for car part of van.

You don't mention which chassis it is on, but with the US built units, the latch from the inside is usually a rod to handle to the latch. The rod can get bent if things stick a little, or the plastic clips that hold it can break. If you pull the plastic inner door panel off, you will be able to see what is going on. I had to rebend the rod on our 07 Chevy because the inside latch would just barely open the door.

possibly the plastic clip on the linkage.

here in AZ a door parked toward the sun will have it's clip fail.

I have done the drivers side rear door on my truck twice and the tailgate linkage 4 times over 15 years.

one of those stupid 25¢ parts...

but an easy fix, be patient.

youtube will likely have videos to help you locate the clips on the door panels which need to be eased out and screws ( if any).

btw carburetor linkage clips are made of metal and can often be subbed in for the platic- check the "help brand" pre-packaged stuff at auto parts store
