Since each RV'er chooses, mine would be called Bud Box.

Why doesn't Advanced make a C that looks like some of the stylish European units? With a corresponding good layout inside instead of the generally pathetic US offerings. Sorry, but this box C (it is not a B) is too ugly.

It seems to be of the expedition type design, where appearance tends to be very low on the design priority list.

I’m surprised that ARV would call that a B-anything. It most certainly is not.

I think it looks great for a prototype!
The Box appeals to me, always has as the best space possible.
After all, its what insude that counts.
And while I know it looks like a C, isn't the B Dimensions applied here?

A B is within the confines of the vehicle body. This is not.

Perhaps it is the B from the plan B for ARV.

It's a B -Box as themexicandoctor said as in an overall B dimension of an extended body Sprinter in height, width and length if I correctly saw the video, but getting 8" more in inside width and the advantage of straight walls. It is a prototype experiment to stay tuned on developments. it is clearly a Class C of cab chassis. It address two faults of American Class Cs as I can identify and that is the under 10 foot height and it addresses those European envies of a narrow Class C. However, it looks like a box and definitely an RV with no deceptive stealth or desirable appearance, IMO, or I would have to get over my hangups in that regard. It also doesn't jive in my personal goal of staying under 20 feet in length in my latest go around. ARV had a tough time getting Sprinters last year. They probably have to look further than vans or knowing Mike Neundorfer, he likes a challenge.

They have been working on this for awhile. Took delivery of the composite body panels a long time ago from Total Composites in Canada. Very cost effective way to get into the Class C market with a true 4 season insulated body. Total Composites has one done on a Transit.

From the peeks at the interior and given ARVs predilections, it looks like this rig would support a pretty elegant lifestyle. Very inviting.
The outside, though, not so much. They have a ways to go to be competitive with, say, LTV. I guess you could maintain stealth by pretending to be a frozen-foods truck. I am a little surprised that N. isn't worried about sullying his brand.
P.S. -- Are those his and hers shower heads?

I was thinking similarly. With ARV's ability to nearly make cost not a factor with most of their customers and products, it would seem logical that that the skin/insulation and shape could be a molded style that looked better but still gave the same space improvements.
Then again, maybe the next "in" thing will be survivalist looking RVs. We have seen that a lot of people were OK with a basic plumber van with hardly any windows to be stealth.
LTV has done a very good job with their units, and have the following to prove it. If I were to copy some kind of existing class C, they would be the place to start, especially if you are going for the narrower class C as was mentioned earlier, which I think is a good idea. To us, width would be more of an inconvenience than length in use.

I think that the video was a trial balloon of sorts. Recall that ARV can and does, as has been pointed out, create works of art. So, what do you want the outside to look like? It will still be a box, just not necessarily the present looking box.
The 'B Box' label may very well change. I would buy one vs what is out there today for a reasonable price, say $150,000. It will cost more.

Huge investment needed to go with molded bodies and then they are not conducive to customization. Composite panels are great for customization.

So where does the "right" size actually sit? Would the size of a Chevy 210 Roadtrek of recent years be about there for length and width? Certainly would need to be squared up a bit to get max inside benefit, and probably taller for headroom. The old Roadtrek 200 is kind of the same as is being considered, as it was a short and narrower C, and they have remained pretty popular.

B's are not decided by dimension, but by platform. So, this is a C even if they make that box shorter and narrower. LOL
The inside looks gorgeous, but no surprise being ARV.
