Default Guatemala sinkhole

I don't know what to say.

Tropical Storm Agatha struck Guatemala while in the middle of volcanic eruption.

It looks photo-shopped, doesn't it?
Like those emails of the houses which are situated in amazingly strange places.

I've seen video of this sinkhole and it looks real. Still pictures can be edited with any photo editing software but videos take a little more to fake. They had another sinkhole back in 2007 that was the exact same thing. Perfectly round and over 300ft deep.

Make you wonder what would create a hole that deep and perfectly round? The only thing I can think of would be old volcano shoots that covered over a long time ago.

Just think of the size of the worm that lives down there.

Volcanic would imply igneous rock, which would probably still be there,
wouldn't it? (If my recollection of high school geology is correct)
I thought I read it was probably created underground over decades, by seepage from their
drains/sewers system.

VernM: Or the Mezcal or Tequila bottle it came out of?
