Got a TV Antenna?

I am in the imagination phase of planning to add a TV antenna to my classic B rig. Mine will not be attached to the Van. What do you folks do to get TV channels?

I stream from home using a Slingbox. Haven't used our antenna in years. Far better to invest in a MiFi device and a good MiMo antenna for it. Increasingly, you can stream most anything with an app--don't even need the Slingbox.

AT&T has some phone deals that include Direct TV that sound pretty good...

I know that everyone knows more than we do about streaming, as we don't stream at all, but don't you require a fast connection to do it, plus a big plan?

On most of our trips, we consistently seem to anywhere from no service to quite a bit of 3G of very loaded down 4G that will barely run the laptop and phone apps. Many of those areas did have some broadcast stations, though.

Are the campground Wifi setups fast enough and have enough capacity for a campground full of streamers?

You can have your cake and eat it, too. You don't have to mount an old style Winegard Batwing or King Jack, like on my coach, to receive broadcast TV. Those Winegard Razors cited above work very well and you might be able to get one on your roof without drilling a huge hole up there; maybe thread the cable up through an existing opening like the A/C or a vent. I use them indoors in my stick house and receive every channel available.

We have the King Jack that came with our Travato for OTA, but are more delighted to download Netflix to an old ipad and then on to the TV. Downloads are part of a regular subscription. OTA pickings are kind of slim where we go.
