Default Freedom widebody weight?

Hello,

Trying to find the curb weight of a 1997 Freedom Widebody RV. Anyone have this info or know where I can find it? Tried several Google searches with no luck.

Thanks!

the actual weight, try a CAT scales at a truck stop

take note of the fuel level/tanks

gas weighs 6.3# gallon, water 8# gallon

the GVWR should be on a sticker along with the RV VIN.

mine ( on a pleasure way) is on the inside of a galley cabinet door

I had the same machine, the GVWR was 8510 lbs. The plate was on the driver's door jam.

Thanks. I was hoping someone had the GVW rather than the GVWR. I'll probably end up using a truck scale to get the weight in looking for.

I don't think many RVs publish the dry weight of the finished product because options change it. They may give a load capacity that you could subtract from the GVWR, but that also has things built into it and other stuff that isn't.

Way better to just get it weighed.

I have a 1995 Leisure Travel Freedom Widebody. The exact weights of any vehicle will vary according to the equipment, options and added elements included when assessing the weight of your particular van. The vehicle specifications sticker on mine was located on the driver's side door post:
DATE OF MFG March 13 1995
GVWR 8510 LB 3851 KG
GAWR FRONT 1438 KG W/ TIRES LT225/75R16-E RIMS 16 x 6.0 psi cold 55
GAWR REAR 2432 KG W/ TIRES LT225/75R16-E RIMS 16 x 6.0 psi cold 80

Here is a good article on how the various measures of vehicle weight are calculated for RVs: https://leisurevans.com/blog/gvwr-weight-rv-matters/

Yes, and to get the real dry weight, it looks like a scale is the best option and even then you need to be sure what you're weighing. The article above will help clarify it before you go get it weighed.

Good Luck!
