Ford Transit
If people are looking for some information on the Ford Transit then take a look at this video.
Tim Stoehr who is the Ford Commercial Van Product Marketing Manager gives some good information on the Transit.
He mentions several things throughout the entire video so be sure to listen to all of it.

The video makes you think it would be a great platform for a Class B. Of course, none of the main builders seem to agree so far.

I've said for a couple years not that the customer's will likely expect the Transit based class B's to be priced closer to the Promaster than the Sprinter. Sadly the reality is quite different as the fleet pricing from Ford is not all that attractive.
In the few conversations I've had with WGO folks, they have indicated the same opinion, but there is a demand for Transit, so they are basically throwing this out there to see how it is accepted.
I don't think we can really see how this is going to go until Spring buying season. Production right now is but a trickle. Once enough inventory is out there, we will see if they languish and if the discounts are more than WGO's norms (25-27%).

Sorry didn't mean to come across that fashion. Blurred lines - the Wonder would be considered a Class C in the past. What information are you looking for?

I've heard good things about the product and the company but can't help you out any more than that. I'm still in the process of getting my ideal specifications before ordering mine but I'm going with a true Class B whatever the brand is.

The Wonder type RV is generally accepted as a B+
I do not see any harm in discussing it here.

Thanks BBQ. I am hoping that as production gears up, there will be more discussion of the LTV Wonder on this and other forums.

It is pricey, but when I think about the competition in the overall class B market place, I think Winnebago will undercut a lot of the Sprinter based high end market with something that looks like it can compare and surpass many of them in both form and function, at a much lower price. Except possibly their own Sprinter based product(s), which are probably headed for the Winnebago history books/museum. That serviceability factor might sway a lot of buyers to them with the Ford chassis, too.

WonderGirl - There is a B+ General Discussion forum a little farther down the home page of this 'Board. However, I think most people on the "true B" section General Discussion are also interested in learning about and making helpful suggestions on LTV products.

Congratulations on your order. You will love your Wonder. LTV is great to deal with and build a great product. Yes, even EEE/LTV is finally properly calling their products a class C. All the years that I owned a Libero, I regularly gave them a hard time about the fact that there is no such thing as a B+ (according to RVIA).
It is hard to find Leisure Travel specific discussion as there are just not that many of them and most people who come to internet boards tend to be complaining or asking help. Most issues will be the usual... the onan generator... or the quickee step... or the fridge... not with the LTV conversion.
Join their Facebook page if you do facebook. Here on this board you should find people showing up with various Transit conversions. You might also want to search the net for a discussion board on the Ford Transit. Most posters there will not be RV conversions, but they will be the ones who have learned the quirks of the platform.
I don't know where you are located, but every year in September there is a rally for Leisure owners held up in Winkler Manitoba. It is great fun and a perfect time to have them do any tweaks that you have discovered as you have used the rig over this year. Fantastic people up there and worth the trip.

Thanks for your thoughtful answer. I have been lurking on the LTV Facebook page for several months now. The discussions have been very helpful in guiding my decision to purchase an LTV unit. And I think you are right: most of the problems I see posted are about the systems installed within the unit, not the LTV production pieces.
I will continue to look around this forum for other information on LTV and the Ford Transit.

Did you find the Ford Transit Forum?
Ford Transit USA Forum
I didn't glance at the threads to see what they're talking about over there, but I find these van specific forums useful. My next rig will likely be on a Promaster, and I pass through their forum to see what issues and recalls are showing up. (I did the same with Sprinter forums when I was considering a Sprinter based rig)
I really like the Wonder floor plan... the Murphy bed without a slide is great. (to me slides are just something to break... LOL) And the closet set up is fantastic. Nice big bathroom. So many cool things. (BTW... you can thank me for that nice big deep sink with separate faucet in the kitchen. When I ordered my 2011 Libero they were using those little flip top sinks... very shallow with the tiny faucet... but I insisted on a larger sink. This was back in the day when it was possible to order little tweaks before delivery. From then on, everyone got the bigger sink. Too many orders now so it is rare that they can do any changes) If I were in the market for a bigger rig, this would be the one I would want. I would even have to overcome my aversion to diesel.
Come back and tell us how you like it.
