Default folding/swing-away rack for recumbent e trike

I had a real challenge because the rack was on the back of my RV and had to be able to swing , so we could open the back doors of the van.

A picture being worth a thoudand words ,,,,here's what I did

That's ingenuity at work. If that's PVC pipe be aware that it gets brittle with exposure to UV/sunlight.
What swing away adapter did you use? I've been looking for one with a 500 lb. rating to use with my Vespa.

Hi
Thanks for reminding me about the UV ,at my age things that I knew don't always stick.
It's not an adapter that I used several companys make swing away racks. I had a rack and thought about an adapter but thought one tjhat was desinged to swing would be stronger / better. This is the one I chose

It swing complety passed the doors on my RT210 pop.
I forget the LBS rating but 500 lbs sounds heavy. I think we are at or around the weight limit. Although we do pick up some support from resting the PVC pipes on the bumper.
Good luck with your hunt

Please let us know if you find one. There is one I think I'm recalling that is 600 pounds but ONLY not swung, then 250 pounds. The most I've found is 250 pounds which is what I use.
