Yes, but James disappointed me that he didn't take a decibel reading using his phone app like he once did for his Travato.
Edit: In watching it again, there's still a good bit of engine noise echoing from underneath on the awning side.

I personally, have become a little cynical over 9 years of RV Ownership & the recent phenomenon of people making sizable incomes via YouTube, Instagram, etc as beta testers/look what we were given/solved our issue.
I don't begrudge people earning money to cover their costs of rv living & professional production values.
However you never see this crowd racing to extol the many virtues of a $125 Porta Potti, etc.
It's always the bigger ticket items like Composting Toilets, AC Units, etc as the answer to choices we are already fine with.
Especially when I witnessed what must be the biggest stinker* of a comparison between cassette toilets & composting toilets.
*somehow the emptying of their natural deposits into the cassette technology that they were obviously not being sponsored to sell, became nothing less than a "State Wide, Radioactive, Fukushima level disaster, of nuclear waste disposal - I was ready to put on a Hazmat suit 4 states away ..."
Not having a Decibel Meter in the production of such a video as you described is the first Red Flag.
But that is my personal & now cynical opinion after 9 years of RV living with a Dometic 3 Way Fridge ...

Here is the video.
Cassette Toilet vs. Composting Toilet Smackdown!
https://www.thefitrv.com/rv-tips/cas...let-smackdown/
Perhaps that week the FitRV Family were subjected to a Radioactive diet (trying to keep an open mind).
The lies start around 2 minutes, 1 second.
The outright hysteria & fraud begin around 7.55 & progressively deteriorates everytime they open their mouth.
Plus there were many other issues with their presentation including:
1. There is no reason to burp such a toilet except when everything is closed, the drain cap is removed & you tilt said drain pipe into the sewer opening & you press the air release button.
And the release button is not available when the cassette is attached to the other half of the unit.
2. It must have been 200% in their rig that week & this also could have caused the fermenting as it were. And perhaps the need to burp the toilet but this is again, highly unlikely & no, the contents don't splash back at you from the cassette.
Absolute BS.
3. They may also have forgotten to add chemicals whose main function is to break down the paper products & the solids.
4. As you can see from the raised pedestal, even a young teenager would have their evacuation compromised by 25+ % everytime.
Plus they bought the high, tall unit versus the short, flat unit we know is far more efficient.
I have the Thetford 365 & place the unit on the lowered foor design of the Roadtrek & prop my heels up, 2-8 inches higher than the base of the toilet.
5. I make zero money if you purchase the Thetford 365 which I believe, is far superior to a composting toilet & using a conventional Thetford Throne attached to a black tank.
The technology is proven.
And from a price point alone, this is a far superior investment. But if it was a $1000, this would be my choice.

Good points, FIT-RV comparison of Porta-Potti to Compositng toilet was the lasting red flag for me casting negative view on their reviews. As critical they were about Porta-Potti misnamed as Cassette there was no one critical word about Cassette problems in this marketing video for this Winnebago Solis59PX.
I still like Winnebago Solis 59PX, but am not clear about overall quality. I could be wrong but it seems as a “stapling” quality.

i don;t give much attention to the reviewers
they are marketers trying to make a living reviewing products
( at some point we'll find out they stay in hotels...busted like "Bear Grylls" )
just now I got an email from Ring asking me to change my amazon review
I bought the darn thing so I'll post my experience- had I been given it..that might sway my "opinion"

I contend that any noise no matter how claimed as quiet or quieter be a an Onan generator, idling an engine, running an Espar-diesel hot water system or even air condition in a campground with others around is an intrusion

That is certainly true. But, there is no point in denying that this issue is contextual. Even the quietest furnaces make noise, as do roof fans. So do compressor refrigerators and inverters. It is a rare van that doesn't have at least a constant low hum audible from outside the van on a quiet evening from a nearby tent. What is reasonable and what isn't depends entirely on the nature of the campground and the situation.

yes
living in PHX, our vacation spot plans are based around "where is it nice"
we have never used the AC in a camp area- only when overnighting on our way to "nice" which is often in a F&F driveway on power
never used our genny camping --- really just run it to exercise here at home...recently hit on brilliant use to power hedge trimmers rather than run a loooong extension cord to the house
we even worry about the water pump noise in campground- ( not too bad, not sustained)- and will use water from a jug especially at night rather than run pump
we once had a large RV choose right next to us in a huge wide open forest and commence with the genny, boom box and outdoor TV's...
we packed up and moved
each has own expectation of "camping" experience- I like quiet, some like tailgating
a new genny option wiith EFI is gonna burn cleaner and if quieter at all is a plus- and if configured to be an easy swap- that could be a winner for many

I totally agree with you! As long as people take money from advertisers their opinions are just that ......and less.
