Default Engine cover reupholstery + dynamat or kilmat

The carpeting on engine cover in my Roadtrek 170 1997 needs to be replaced. No option to buy.Upholstery places quote min $300.
But I am also considering better sound/heat proof using materials like kilmat or dynamat.
Any idea on DIY option?

Roadtrek 170 1997 has a dome shaped plasic engine cover with 10 rivets where carpeting type fabric cover is attached. That fabric cover needs to be replaced.
The idea was to put kilmat over plastic dome first and then invent someting to cover it.
The reason I don't want to use reapholstery shop is that not only $300 for a small rug seems way too high, but I have a strong doubt that the fireproof standards will be met.
I already ordered 80 mil kilmat. Not sure how to deal with sticking rivets.I might cut holes in kilmat material. Not sure how kilmat sticks to little bumps on the surface.

I like the use of the mat. It should also cut down on heat and noise.

Is it something you could double up on by also applying to the underside of the engine dog house?

I think outside would be enough. It was ok even with that carpeting fabric. But kilmat still needs to be covered not to look like foil wrap unfinished project. And that fabric cover might not be possible to clip on rivets anymore.Thinking of velcro.
