Default Electronically Reclining Split Sofa/Bed

Was wondering if Class B manufactures ever considered an Electronically Reclining Split Sofa/Bed.

Owning a class B I have the Driver Single Bed, and the Passenger Single Bed, then there are those owners of a class B who have the rear Sofa/Bed.

It would be nice if a Class B manufacture would have an optional Electronically Reclining Split Sofa/Bed.

This way if the husband wants to lay in bed and watch TV, (probably go to sleep) he can with the Sofa/Bed flat (down position) if the wife wanted to read a book sitting up and sitting on the rear Sofa/Bed she can.

The 2008 Leisure Travel Free Flight Chevy Van, Class B has the Rear Recliner Twin Beds, it would be nice if a Class B manufacture could have a Rear Recliner Split Sofa/Bed as an option.

I did send this same info to the various Class B Manufactures, wonder if anyone will answer me.

Ron

I received the following E-mail today from John Mattern at Pleasure-Way Industries, thought it was nice that John took time out to respond
to my question.

Hello Ron, I will look into it. We have not thought of such a device but it sounds interesting.

Today, I also received an E-mail from Dawn Crowe at RoadTrek, nice of Dawn to E-mail me, following is the E-mail Dawn sent:

Ron,

At this time, we have no plans for the dual reclining sofa, however it is a great thought, and one I will forward to our engineering department. Maybe in the future, you may see this implemented in one of our units.

Thanks for your thoughts and great idea!

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Thanks for posting the info you received Ron. That is an idea that would appeal to many people.

This link:

shows the inside of forum member Benny's Roadtrek with his bed/lounge/recliner - I got it from his website in 2006. His site seems to be gone now

I recall seeing sketches of the idea on his site but I don't think I saved them.
