I found out if you disagree with Campskunk, apparently he doesn't like it and blocks you. Actions tells a lot about a person, in my opinion. Knowledge and Wisdom are two distinctly different skills. I wish them well.

I was reading Campskunks recent posting on Mike Wendland's Roadtreking Blog.
Five Years on the RoadRoadtreking : The RV Lifestyle Blog

These words in his posting tell you a lot about his personality:
"We spend very, very little time being polite to people we really don’t want to talk to, which is a big improvement over the social obligations inherent in living in a sticks and bricks house and working a job."

Or lack thereof, obviously. But it will continue to go on as long as people like Gerry protect/coddle him.

Wow! That's a head problem there

I have to say, that quote taken in isolation came across to me quite different than it did when I went & read the entire article.

Here, by itself, it sounds like "We don't bother with being polite to anyone because we never stay in one place long enough to face any real consequences".

In the context of the article, though, it said to me, "We don't spend a lot of time engaged in polite but meaningless conversations with people we have little in common about subjects that bore us but feel obligated to participate in anyway just because we happen to live on the same street or work in the same office. Instead we can put more effort into socializing with folks that we feel a genuine connection to even though we may not be right next door."

In other words, it wasn't the politeness he was dispensing with, it was the time spent on conversations he wasn't really interested in, which doesn't seem so unreasonable to me.

Which is not to say I approve of what's been going on over on Facebook. I guess I just didn't expect the reaction I had when I read the article.

Yep, all you need to do is tell anyone on "the street" that you have 1K posts on the ClassB Forum, and you will get all the respect you deserve!

You are giving him more credit than is warranted. I was just answering the question of who was blocking people. Sad thing is, RT uses this group (unofficially) for notifications and a form of support of their owners. When owners are blocked or removed, then they are getting a different treatment than the owners who will drink the "kool-aid". I think the "kool-aid" is way too sweet so I will pass.

Jim Hammil is at it again. He said he done with people trashing his product. This is after he does a lengthy tirade against WGO. He can't stand having his product compared the competitions.

Guess I missed that one. Either is too far down in the traffic or they deleted it.

It does look like Campskunk is posting a lot more than he used to, damage/reputation control?

Here's the post. It's a long thread, but at one point he says he's tired of people bashing his product. No one was bashing. I among others were asking probing questions. And when he came back and started to claim why the Zion was so much better than the Travato, I responded very nicely on a bunch of them.

Then he starts bashing people who consider price when they purchase a class B. He's not a good sales guy because he turns me off with his attitude. In sales you never bash the competition like he does, but you show the potential customer why he should consider your product.

He also claims he has the best resales however he had no proof of that when comparing the Travato to the Zion. The Zion will have high resales because you paid more for it. However what will the percentage of residual value be after say 5 or 10 years?

I'm also not convince their quality on the Zion is better than the Travato.

LOL. I'd say the resale on Travato is excellent, based on my own experience.
