Do you use a smartphone/tablet or other mobile device?

Just thought I'd try a poll to see how many Class B Forum members are mobile internet "techies"
with these new fangled super-portable toys.

I decided to split this poll into two polls.
This one has been reset to determine what technology level we use on the road.
I'll create a separate one to determine what internet access we have.

I plan on switching a few things around retirement. I figure no use paying for a lot of services I don't have time for.

I figured that one out by trial and error. Like the fact that I'm a lousy editor,
I just re-edited the re-edit, because I thought I'd changed the number of votes to 1,
but I guess I messed it up.

Traveling with two AT&T iPhones and two iPads, one with Verizon Wireless connectivity to use as a hotspot. Despite the arsenal we still don't have full coverage in the areas we prefer to camp.

I have those types of things, in part because I use them in my work and in part because I do have a weak spot for things that have a wow factor. That said, I don't use them when camping except to watch a movie on occasionally (iPad) or to have in case of breakdown or emergency.

We used our Samsung Tab 2 with Verizon for a couple of years with great connections everywhere we went. Recently switched to an ATT Hot Spot without a contract, so we wouldn't have to pay for service when not on the road. This should work better for us, both cost wise and connection wise. We can use our tablet and our laptop.

I always travel with my Android smartphone. I find having another source for GPS mapping and directions is helpful as Google Maps will give us up to date road reports.
