Do you keep your Class B at home or in storage in Winter?
renrut asked this question about RV's on the General forum. I think it makes a great poll question.

I keep mine at home, but I keep it covered. Once I've winterized it, it would just be too much work to take it out. I'm not quite ready to retire yet(well actually I am, but my bank account isn't), so I can't go south to warmer weather(I'm from Alberta, Canada).

I took off to Florida twice last winter just for some sunshine. It's easy to de-winterize and take off.

Re: Do you keep your Class B at home or in storage in Winter?
Ours is kept at home too. We use it as our 2nd vehicle. It's also quite handy when we get stuck going to all day meetings. Everyone else has to scramble to find a restaurant and lunch, we just go out to our van, fix soup and a sandwich and still have some time to relax for a while. I've been known to sneak in a 20 minute nap during meeting breaks.....
It's all winterized, so we don't use the water system, but it's nice to have to stove or microwave for heating lunch.

I just got mine so I have not done the winter thing but the whole reason I chose the class B is so that I can keep it next to the house and take it out every weekend including the winter.

Re: Do you keep your Class B at home or in storage in Winter?
We keep ours at home. I have a 30 amp service and most of the time keep it plugged in. It is winterized, but when neccessary I will drive it during the winter.
I will use it for football game weekends even after it has been winterized. I just don't use the water tanks. We carry enough water for flushing and for drinking. I keep antifreeze in the holding tanks.

We keep ours at home, for we are fortunate enough to be able to use it year round. We are currently in FL and RT is in VA; we had too much to haul down in sitting up a place here, but will go back in Feb for my favorite vehicle of all times. Safe travels to all, Ron.

Re: Do you keep your Class B at home or in storage in Winter?
We keep our Falcon 19 at home year round and never winterize as it is mild here in northern CA. It comes in handy for towing our utility trailer when the need arises so it is nice to have around for that. By having it at home we always have the option to just take off on an unplanned trip!

I will keep it at home and drive in the winter but not in snow because it is rear wheel drive.

Re: Do you keep your Class B at home or in storage in Winter?
We keep ours at home in the winter, but don't use it. Minnesota salt quickly takes a toll on all the stuff on a Roadtrek. We modified our garage doors so we could keep it inside, which is a good thing because I always have a list of changes and mods to do over the winter. I will be starting this years stuff next week!

I had gravel installed over the summer. It will be parked at home all year around.

At home. Winter is our favorite camping season. It's not hot, it's not crowded, it's not buggy.
