Blowing the system out with compressed air instead of antifreeze seems to be OK for some folks and others have had some broken plumbing stuff. The manufacturers are not nearly as careful about good plumbing practices and low point drains as they used to be.

We have only had to use the pink antifreeze once last fall when we were traveling ...got home to Socal and dealt with the flushing the system in our driveway...we have a cleanout drain right in front of the house...and plugged into shore power whenever we're home...
On the road...if we needed to use the pink antifreeze...we would just use bottled water for drinking anyway...
It rarely freezes in LA.....
Don't think it's worth the risk of damaging the plumbing with compressed air..I agree 100 percent with you...
