December Camping in Kentucky

Thinking about a camping trip in December near Kentucky.

I only had a experienced on camping in Kentucky Horse park. I know there are some popular campgrounds near Kentucky Williamstown. But I'm confuse about which will be the best option for me in December.
Please mention some spots where you had a experience.

Look at Land Between the Lakes. Several campgrounds to choose from, well developed. I've never been a big fan of the state parks in KY. Mammoth National Park has a nice campground.

Nolin Lake State Park is just north of Mammoth Cave and is open year round (“with reduced amenities”). I was there last week for a few days. The lake is low but the campground is very nice.

I went Kentucky Horse park copule month ago. I'm planning for a tour for the first time with my girlfriend. We decided to go there with our single speed bicycle. Really awesome place
