Default Dark colors

I tend to watch stuff on e-bay, don't know why, maybe morbid curiousity.

In the listings for Class B motorhomes, there seem to be more and more of them that are BLACK, or some other very dark color. There are a couple of them on e-bay now.

Why in the world would anybody who actually wanted to be able to camp in their B want it black? You might just as well get one with the furnace set to 100* permanently. Our Roadtrek is the sand color (medium brown), and it gets very hot (we are changing the roof color currently). I can't imagine how hot it would get if it were all black.

Is this just another example of the B market trending toward the "look how cool I am" soccer mom crowd, who will never really use them as a camper?

Is there any good reason to have a black class B motorhome (unless you live north of the arctic circle).

Black??? I've seen a couple and they look nice when they are clean but it's not for me. My 2008 RT is Sand like yours and I've often wondered how much cooler a white top would be. RT's were white with color trim until the silver anneversary model in 2004 and started colors in 2006. I wonder if RT had noticed a lot of the Class A's had gone to brown/tan/sand bodys and decided to join the trend. But BLACK...no way!!!

The darker colors make them look less like an RV for sure. I wouldn't choose a black one either.
Colors do give a them a "wow" factor when you see them in ads.
