Default Bumper problems

Own a 2006 roadtrek 190 popular. Having problems keeping half of the black plastic bumper secured to the stainless steel beneath the bumper . Any suggestions have tried two way adhesive tape like what was on it from factory.

Can you just glue it instead of using tape? Gorilla glue is great.

Hi
I have done body and paint work for ever....it seems like anyway.
First....must remove ALL the old two sided tape from both parts.
Second....you will need an adhesion promoter.
Ppg makes one
3M makes a nice one.
Third....clean both surfaces very well with a good quality cleaner...or laquer thinner.
Once clean apply the promoter follow its instructions carefully as many are diffrent in how they are applied.
Then put into place and hold and or support for a minute or so.
That should do it.....
Many new car parts are held in place that way now.....and we are constantly having to replace some of them.
The promoter and really cleaning the two surfaces is the trick.

Hi we have a 2006 Roadtrek 190 Popular. The front bumper cover got hit badly and we just removed the cover also needed to replace the chrome bumper underneath which is all we have now. We like the look, so my suggestion is just remove the plastic cover and see if you like it.

Thank you for the responses. We increased the 2 way tape thickness and applied. Was not aware of the stick promoter or would have also used. Thanks again!
