Default Build Sheet for your RV

Went to my local Chevrolet dealer yesterday to have the oil/filter changed.
$59.00 for a Full Synthetic Oil change with filter (AC Dexos 1 or Mobil 1, 6 Quarts) I use Mobil 1. Did not feel like changing the oil myself.
While the RT was being serviced i asked my service tech some questions about the engine/transmission/rear end. Next thing i know he hands me a 6 page printout( Build Sheet) of my Express 3500. Everything i ever wanted to know is on those sheets. Read it and placed it in my service records for future reference.

So if you own a Chevrolet base RV and want to know what it has in detail
take your vehicle registration that has the VIN number on it to your Chevrolet dealer and have them print you out a copy.

I would imagine that Dodge, MB, Ford would do the same.

Yes - you can get a data card or build sheet for any vehicle from the dealer or often people on some forums have access to the same data base. There are also some VIN lookup websites that will give you basic info, but it might not be as good as data from a dealer.

Yes, info from an online VIN decoder won't give the level of build detail you get from a dealer.

With GM vehicles, an online RPO decoder will give the build sheet details. More info: https://www.classbforum.com/forums/f...oder-1748.html
