Default Build Over Van Windows???

I really need to be able to transport grandchildren in car seats and eventually in proper rear seating (shoulder belts & head rest) as they get older.

If I were to convert a Transit Passenger Van to a camper...what can I do about getting rid of some of the windows or completing covering a few? I'm afraid of tramping moist if I cover them with something substantial. Anyone ever permanently remove a window or build over?

I plan to ask a Ford dealer...but do any of you think the Ford Motor company would do a special order with not installing some of the windows?

Most Sprinter B-vans have the inside bathroom covering windows, for sure the Airstream, Roadtrek and Winnebago models do this.

Best to insulate the window opening before you build over it. I think Airtream also painted the inside of the covered window on my van black so there is no way to see inside structure.

Check the Transit build sheet. If you order from ford, I believe you can delete the windows, but I don't know if you can choose to delete them in a non-symmetrical way (i.e., windows on only one side).
