Default Black speaker box next to water heater

My new to me 2013 Roadtrek 190 Popular has a black, box speaker in with the hot water heater. Do you know what this is connected to? Any reason I can't take it out? If I remove it do I need to cap off wires or something to avoid electrical issues?

Thanking you in advance,

Langton

That would be the subwoofer for the 5 channel amplifier for the surround sound. You could remove and go without the sub if you like, I would think. I have been very temped to get rid of the one in our 07 190P.

Thank you Booster,
I'm going to remove it in the hopes it gives me better access to the water pump filter.
