Default Avion Azur Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van Class B

Does anyone here own one of these? Any info from someone here who has actually has seen one in person, Good Bad or otherwise? Quality? I am researching Class B vans, I want to buy one in the next couple of months, Went yesterday and saw several Airstreams, I was not too impressed with the attention to detail in the assembled? Again I am new to this world, But having owned several Higher end cars and SUVs, I expected more quality, Misaligned doors, Screws not straight, Just minor things but it bothers me. I am going to see some Midwest vans next week, But came across Avion and they looked pretty good on the video. Thanks.

They are new entrant to the Class B market. I first heard about them in late October. I haven't come across any posts from owners yet.

Here's more info from RV Business: http://www.rvbusiness.com/2015/02/nexus ... t-startup/

Factory direct pricing looks very competitive:

Quote:
The self-contained, highly insulated, four-season, six-passenger Avion features a fully equipped bathroom with shower, a fixed-down rear king bed and stand-up headroom in a small motorized coach. With abundant storage and full length wardrobe space, the Avion can retail for less than $100,000.
Quote:
.......... retail prices on the Avion run from $89,000 to about $105,000 with an all-solar electric package in a market that typically extends up to $120,000-$140,000. “We have a 300-watt solar panel package with four AGM batteries, and you can basically boondock for weeks without having to use your generator.”
Some discussion about Avion on the forum here: http://www.classbforum.com/phpBB2/vi...php?f=9&t=3325

Thanks for the info. I did receive emails from the Avion rep. They have a 2015 and a 2016 about two hours from me in Clearwater fl. He says the 2015 has a big discount, I am waiting on more details along with a price. I may go up and check them out next weekend?

These are really intriguing. They seem to offer a lot of what I want. And they eliminate the greedy dealers. People talk about having a great dealer for great hassle free service, however I will never be anywhere near the dealer I bought the van from. Why pay 10k more for the dealers pockets. It makes much more sense to buy a product directly from the company who produces it.

Thanks for the links.

QUite attractive package. I wonder about the European-style non-wood cabinetry re durability. I also see the galley is on the driver's side which isn't where I personally like it when I am cooking and looking outside. Seems to have good sound and moisture insulation package. Counter-top is a bit small and needs a forward slideout extension or something to give a better working surface. No screen door. The extra seats up front are fine for those who like them but compress everything in the cabin which makes it look cramped. Outside plug ins would be better grouped together as per PW and others. A pullout sink in wetbathroom would give more room for showering in that tight space. Nice try. If price is good one an overlook a few things I suppose.
