Attaching a new side door hinge on RT
I have a y2k Versatile 200. After the "fun" of installing the rear door plastic hinges a coupla years ago I'm now faced with doing the same on long door. One of many projects on this winter's to do list.
I recently had to replace the A/C cover that blew off in Irma. Thankfully a neighbor came walking over with it the day after asking "Is this yours"? I had to buy all new well nuts and screws, stepping up one size for the screws.
Having experienced how much easier life is when using well nuts verses trying to pop rivet in a very awkward position, I'm strongly considering using well nuts for the van body side of the hinge with stainless screws and would use standard stainless nuts, washers and screws for the door part. Looking at number 10 stainless screws I did use a screw/rivet combo on the other doors and so far all is good.
Comments? TIA
TIA
