Default Air in Water Line

This is my first trip (2 wks) out and boy am I learning a lot about my RV (1998 Coach House). One problem I haven't solved: when I hook up the water and first turn it on (using the water pump) air spurts out and makes an awful mess.

How do I eliminate the air in the line so it doesn't do that?

(A lesson learned: if you don't want to blow your fuses and/or trip your breakers, plug into the 30 amp, not the 20 amp when you're using AC and microwave.)

If you have an outdoor shower or tap open that first....you can release the air first by flushing the toilet....open the taps just a crack so no water comes out and just air. Do this for the hot and cold water prior to turning on the water heater.

Thanks so much, Steve. I'll try that.
