Isn't a class B a van and if the back is cut off with a camper section mounted isn't that the definition of a class C.
given it is missing the cab-over compartment, it is more like a "C-" to me.

There is a new trend in Class C -- narrow body C.

It is built on a cut-away chassis,

but the width of the coach is only slightly wider than the cab, making it as easy to drive as a Class B.

This type of RV is gaining popularity in Europe.

Maybe we can call it a Class-C-minus-minus ?

They say the class B is the least expensive of the three types

I quit reading right there, as they obviously have been smoking something, or under a rock.

Maybe a little outdated.

That photo on post #9 is a nice looking rig. Like a RT 210 but on a Ford. I like it.
Nice looking camp site too! Colorado?

It Is a 2010 Pleasure-way Excel TS. We were camping near Banff National Park Canada on our way to an amazing 14,000 mile round trip to Alaska in 2016.

Hey there, Wes -

Here in the Class B Forum, under the Travel > Places and Routes section, there is a new member asking about taking a drive to Alaska next summer. since you've done it, perhaps you could check out the post and offer some insights...

Wandering Wes;
My wife and I were up there in 2016 too! We did Kootenay, Banff, Jasper, and on up to the NWT to see the northern lights. Wife not retired yet so we had to go home. She will be next summer, and we are looking forward to doing that again and then on to Denali Park, Alaska in our new Roadtrek Simplicity we ordered!
Man, looking forward to that.

The Pleasure-way Excel TS? Yes it is because it came from a van originally and not a cab chassis. Great West Vans in the early 90s started out with a similar almost identical design as the Pleasure-way Excel with a Ford van with a chop and substitute of a wide body fiberglass shell. Then after one year they dropped it in favor of a cab chassis design almost the same but they called it a Class C. There reason is it handled terribly as some have said with the Excel and they said they were overloaded and unsafe.

When I decided to buy a class B I did a lot of research and found the Pleasure-way Excel was the best choice for me. The extra width was a major factor. While researching I had read many negative reviews about the handling problems. I also read many reports about it’s fix. I bought the Pleasure-way knowingly prepared for the adjustments and cost. When I first got it, I did have issues with the handling so I did the following and now it handles great, more like a pickup truck.

1, Had a 4 wheel alignment done to Pleasure-way specs. Not Ford’s
2, Installed Bilstein comfort shock absorbers
3, Replaced tires with Michelin tires
(Total about $1300.00)

A Firestone rear air ride suspension with compressor was already installed at Pleasure-way. (It also comes in handy when leveling as it provides about 4” of travel)
