Default 2006 Roadtrek 210 stove top cover

I want to install a stove top cover in my roadtrek. I have the top but it doesn't have any installation hardware or instructions. Has anyone done this? Some pictures of one and how it is attached would be extremely helpful. Thanks

I don't have a roadtrek, the internets shows me this 2006 210 popular which has a couple pictures of the galley and a lift off cover.

... I don't know if RT provides a space to stow the cover or a 2nd use for it ( pleasure way uses their cover to extend the counter space- very handy)

Interesting. Do you have a pic to share of how the cover works as an extension?

I have a devil of a time posting pics here... so a B option below

on the side of the cabinet ( facing the back of the pass seat) Is a support which pulls out ( blocking the side door access) the cover sits on that.

in this video at 3:51, the piece of wood trim below the cover and above the light switches pulls straight out- it is on rails and these are the supports for the cover:

Thanks Mike. I see how it works. Unfortunately on my 97 the sink and stove are reversed (sink closest to side door access). The stove side butts right up against a full wall. I would like to have some counter extension but I'll have to think of another way of doing it.

In my last RV I used another person's tip. I bought a plastic chopping board and cut it to size. MUCH lighter the the original, plus you could use it to as a cutting board.

Default 2006 Roadtrek 210 stove top cover

The previous owners of our RT made a stove cover out of a wooden cutting board with some side pieces of wood glued/fitted below such that the assembly fits over the stove perfectly and doesn't slide around.

When we're not using the stove, we get a huge increase in counter space. Brilliant!

When we do use the stove, we typically use the cover/cutting board for chopping or serving or both. So no compelling need for storage.

The other cool/unique thing they did was to paint all the wood white. Really brightens things up, tho also shows dirt/wear a bit more than the OG wood finish.

If interested I can post some pics & dimensions tmrw.

Best,

Scott

Have you thought of perhaps using a correctly sized baking pan (say 12x17) that was deep enough (2-3"?) so that it could be flipped over on the burner grids. Perhaps with a wooden or plastic cutting board screwed on from the bottom of the pan into the wood.

the cover on my PW is wood, with a formica top which matches the counter.

the underside has sheet metal for protection. I always test with my hand before putting the cover on but... you never know how stupid we can be.

there are also 2 clips kinda like as shown below- the female part is recessed into the edge of the counter. these keep it from rattling
