Is it hard to replace a refrigerator in a 2006 Roadtrek 210?

What model RT 210? The 210 Popular has a larger fridge than the 210 Versatile. I replaced the 5 cubic foot RM2554 in my 210P with another RM2554. It was quite a job. You have to very careful to not damage woodwork or upholstery.

If the present RM2554 fails I will likely replace with a compressor fridge. This will also require electrical system mods to have enough battery capability for multiday boondocking.

That's pretty much what we did. I think I took the towel hanger off the bathroom door for more clearance. Put thick protection on the rear sofa. I thought I had it covered well but still managed to put a small cut in the fabric.

The 3-way is nice as it is a straight replacement. Works well for boondocking. I hate the off-level issues though. Plus both of mine have acted flaky at times: cut-off for no apparent reason; maybe every year or two.

I have done that in my 08C210P. You definitely need two people. I took the door off the fridge, removed the bathroom door and took the cushion off the third seat by the side door. Took it out the side door.

This happens to my 20+ year old 3-way, and more often than that. But based on what I have read online, I think the reason in my case is that it overheated in the past and so has crystals of the anti-corrosion material floating around, which sometimes inhibits fluid circulation. It doesn't happen when I am on the road regularly only when I am in prolonged boondock -- driving around keeps the fluid moving.

I don't think overheating will cause the fridge electronics to cutoff. I think it could be one of many things. First is flakiness of the Dometic control board. I changed to a Dinosaur board and I didn't have the problem but maybe once in many years.

When I put the new fridge in it would cut off every other day or so. Turned out the propane regulator was just enough low on pressure to cause it to go into fault mode, presumably due to low flame temperature on the sensor.

I agree. Mine is an old model that has no electronics at all.

Replaced mine with like for like, RM2354 I believe, on my 08 PleasureWay Chevy Lexor. No problem doing it by myself. Nice YouTube that really helped identify a couple of screws that holds it in place and other tips.
